The tortilla soup was completely made from scratch (veggies) except for Rapunzel bouillon (vegan and safe), one can of Centos tomato paste (just tomatoes) and the most likely culprit: Tyson Chicken which is up to 15% broth. The ingredients did say "natural flavorings." One other item has been a little suspicious as well. I toasted some brown rice Food for Life tortillas but my sister says the company tests for corn and claims to be corn-free. Their xanthan gum is grown on corn syrup however.

Tortilla Soup - Gluten reaction?
This could have been a corn reaction but I didn't get the breathing issues (asthma-like, coughing, tight throat, difficulty breathing and especially the fingers cracking/swollen). I had symptoms that seem to be my gluten reaction including swollen belly (like I'm a couple months prego... see photo left) and itchy, white, pimple-like bumps (tiny) on my hand. The exact area was below my thumb knuckle and my wrist. The next morning my reaction was that I had to diarrhea - immediately when I woke up. This is very typical with my gluten reaction. I would be constipated and then all of a sudden have to go, and it is either messy or just smells terrible. Last night after eating I also felt like I had to poo - but never could - so I think that was the constipated time.
